Density refers to how thick or thin you want your wig or hair system hair to be. The standard hair density the and most popular choice is 120%. The average human head is considered to be between 100%-120%. If you choose Curly, Wavy, or textured hair like Yaki or Kinky, the hair will appear thicker than Straight hair. For example, if you compare a Straight hair to curly hair with the same density, the curly hair will appear thicker.

Naturally growing hair grows differently for every person. Hair can grow thin (light) around the hairline and thick in the middle. Hair can also grow thick around the hairline and thin every where else. If you order a custom lace wig, you can chose the density to be the same percent all over or designate the density around the hairline, middle and back.

 

For the most natural look, pick a density that is close to your own or you can be adventurous and choose the density you want. Medium density is the average choice (100%-120%). It is generally better to have more hair than less because you can always thin it out. You will also have more hair to accommodate for normal shedding from daily grooming.
